Venture storms home

After a successful time at the sales it was time to get back to the yard full time and get to grips with the new stock we have. Having had our first winner it wasn’t too long before we got number two on the board when VENTURE went to Kempton and duly sluiced up after 400 days off the track. The son of Showcasing was given a great ride by Tom Marqand and once he was asked to quicken he went about his business in impressive fashion taking the Novice event by just over three lengths. He was sent off a 16/1 shot but came home to win emphatically.

‘He is a horse we have always liked and he does like to carry plenty of condition but I thought off ability alone he had to have a very good chance. He has improved plenty for the run and looks an exciting horse for the winter campaign. There are a few options for home over the New Year period.’
