Summer starts with a bang…

The winners have been rolling in so far this summer, with the yard firing in six winners from 27 runners in the month of May, equating to a 22% strike rate. And June has started on very similar lines, saddling two winners from 11 runners, currently a strike rate of 18%.

The yard has also not only surpassed last season’s winners, but also its prize money earned having won over £100k when DEVIL’S CUB won again at Windsor on Monday 7 June.

The most resent winner for the yard (pictured above), was a son of Charm Spirit called THE WATERMAN who has found his stride now as a 3yo. He is a beautifully bred gelding out of Amira, own sister to Acclamation and with the mare having produced a Listed winner, FORGIVE there could be more improvement to come from him.

Hector Crouch who has ridden him in both starts so far this year, gave him a bold ride coming from last to first to win at Wolverhampton on Tuesday 8 June – the horse has gained plenty of confidence from the run and we look forward to getting him back out again soon.

Horses to look forward to over the weekend are FARASI LANE and ZHUI FENG who both head to Newmarket and ROMAN MIST at Lingfield on Saturday.
