Starting the new decade with a BANG!

The New Year 2020 has started well for Tom Ward Racing as MOURIYANI goes on to get his head back in front for the first time since his debut last Sunday. The son of City Zip owned by the Bighouse Partnership was given a well executed ride by the stable apprentice Laura Coughlan. There was guaranteed to be plenty of early pace and there was no let up for the entire mile and six furlongs. Laura bided her time and came with a strong late challenge to get his head in front on the line. ‘I was delighted with the ride she gave him and everything seemed to work out perfectly. He is a nice horse in the making and looks like he will appreciate a step up again in trip. He has a great attitude and I think with some confidence under his belt he should be able to build on this effort.’

Last night BALGEES TIME gave the yard its second photo finish result this week, when she was beaten by a the smallest of margins at Wolverhampton. A frustrating finish, but another superb ride from Laura and result for the yard.

Some exciting horses are in store for the start of the decade. We are very grateful to our owners for supporting us over the winter and we will be working hard to reward them in the next 12 months.
