‘Star’ was born
MISHAL STAR looks to be an exciting filly at Whitehouse Stables after her impressive win on Wednesday at Kempton in the British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes for 2-year-olds over 6 furlongs. Going off 5/6 favourite the filly raced very professionally, accelerating nicely when asked by Harry Bentley to win by 4 lengths.
Having run fourth at Newbury behind ALCOHOL FREE, who later placed second in the Gr.3 Dick Poole and in front of NEPTUNE’S WONDER who subsequently won at Goodwood; the form proved solid from Newbury and this of course gave us all plenty to look forward to for her next appearance.
‘She has a great demeanour and does exactly what you ask of her. She improved a lot for her first run and showed plenty of class in winning under Harry Bentley. We haven’t made any firm plans with her yet, but she is an exciting prospect for the future.’
It was an incredibly good day for her owner/breeder Mrs. Elaine Gadsden-Chivers of In the Mix Racing, as well as for the team back home. Many congratulations.
DEVIL’S CUB ran another good race in the bet365 Nursery Handicap on Thursday at Chepstow following his win at Bath. The colt, just getting caught on the line placed second putting in a strong effort for his owner/breeder Mrs. Rosemary Dickens.
