Off the mark at Whitehouse Stables
The first winner to come out of our new Whitehouse Stables was a homebred colt called DEVIL’S CUB, who broke his Maiden at Bath in the Wick Nursery Handicap over 1 mile on Monday 24thAugust. Getting ideal racing conditions, the strong son of Hellveyln drove past the line under Tom Marquand.
Congratulations to his breeder Mrs. Rosie Dickens of Old Park Stud Farm, Gloucester. We are thrilled to have given her a winner during such an unusual racing year.
‘He is a very straightforward colt who started to get the hang of things at Kempton the time before and put his experience to good use under a strong ride from Tom. He should be able to go on from this and pick up another race.’
We are relieved to now have all our horses under the new roves of Whitehouse Stables and are incredibly pleased to report they have settled in extremely well. It is hugely rewarding seeing our facilities in fruition after such thought and planning that was been put into them over the past year.
Now off to a winning start we look forward to celebrating many a winner from our new headquarters.
Coming up next….
WICKLOW will debut at Goodwood on Sunday 30 August in the Maiden Auction Stakes over 1 mile under Tom Marquand.
Wickow is a nice son of Twilight Son who should run well on debut. The ground should suit him and hopefully he is doing his best work late on.’
Good luck to connections.
