September’s Runner Highlights

PRIESTESS kicked September off in style at Southwell when winning for the first time in her career. The daughter of Massaat got her head in front on 4th September under George Wood. Drawn in stall 12 for the six furlong sprint, the two year old filly travelled with the group and gained third inside the final furlong. She was able to get her nose in front when it mattered most, winning by a head.

A tough little filly, she is sure to win again! She is by Massaat, out of the Kodiac mare, High Speed and is owned by The Priestess Partnership.

One To Watch

GOT THE BOOTY certainly is one to watch following her performance at Kempton on 24th September. Ridden by Finley Marsh for her second start and again over the six furlong distance, the two year old filly was quick out the stalls to lead and was headed in the final furlong to come in second. She does not look far away from a first win for her career. Got The Booty is by Hello Youmzain, out of the Distorted Humor mare, Perle Rare.

As you may know, we tragically lost a two year old filly, Knockalla, when she was hit by a car in September 2024 on the way to the gallops and we are raising money via the silent auction to make our roads safer for our racehorses travelling to and from the gallops.

Make Believe ex Royal Illusion Colt

This handsome son of Make Believe was purchased at the Goffs Orby Book 2 sale for 34,000 euros and is the second progeny of the King Theatre mare, Royal Illusion. She was a winner herself, both on the flat in the Irish Cesarewitch & over jumps, placing in a listed race and this colt was purchased with a dual purpose career in mind.
