It was bittersweet as two graduates from Whitehouse Stables were waved off to new homes at the Tattersalls Mare sale. Both fillies have been fantastic flagbearers for Tom Ward Racing and we wish them the best of luck in their new homes.
CRYSTAL FLYER, a daughter of Magna Grecia, sold to Creighton Schwartz Bloodstock for 70,000gns. She had a RPR rating of 101 and won 3 times for the team earning over £84,500 in prize money. The four year old filly was a Book 1 purchase at Tattersalls by Tom and Alex for just 42,000 guineas.
WOODHAY WONDER, a daughter of Tamayuz, sold for 110,000gns to Lanark Bloodstock and will be covered in the spring. She was purchased by Tom and Alex at the Tattersalls Somerville sale in September 2022 for just 26,000 guineas and she was a very talented filly earning almost £236,000 and winning 5 times. Her biggest career achievements include a 3rd in the Gr. 2 Duchess of Cambridge Stakes and winning the £100k Tattersalls Somerville Auction Stakes (pictured above) as well as the £150k Tattersalls October Auction Stakes.
WHIZZ BY (pictured below) was also at the Tattersalls mare sale and was consigned by her breeders Mount Coote Stud & New England Stud. The three year old filly was another talented member of the team who gave her all on the track, winning 4 times (including 3 in a row!) and placing another 5 times from 15 starts and earning over £27,000 in prize money. She was purchased by Tweenhills for 90,000 guineas.
All three fillies have given us fantastic and exciting days of racing for the team and for their owners and they will be missed.
