Monthly Newsletter - June
There was plenty of action as more of our two year old runners hit the track, and we brought home a few winners as well! In light of this hot spell we’re having, grab your handheld fan, find some shade and read on…
June’s Runner Highlights
WHIZZ BY (pictured above) flew home on 6th June to land the seven furlong apprentice handicap under Alec Voikhansky. Back on turf this time at Goodwood, the three year old filly was drawn in stall 6. The pair jumped and settled in with the leaders, before taking the lead over 2f out and stayed on to win by 2 lengths.
The team were conscious of the potential to go up the weights in the handicap so on the 13th June she headed back to the track at Chester. She was ridden again by Alec Voikhansky and drawn in stall 3. The pair applied the same tactics this time but they were unlucky and finished in second place.
WHIZZ BY is by New Bay, out of the Desert Prince mare, Whazzis. She was bred by New England Stud & Mount Coote Stud and is owned by Fit or Fat Racing.
She is a tough, consistent and progressive filly who loves her racing. Since her winning handicap debut in October 2024, WHIZZ BY has won 4 times and placed 5 times in all of her 9 starts; earning over £27,000 in prize money. A very fun filly for her syndicate, there is definitely more fun to be had this summer!
MAGNATURA (pictured below left) was the first 2 year old winner for 2025 and an impressive winner at Kempton on 25th June. He was racing over 7f under Kieran Shoemark. The pair were drawn in stall 1 and, despite showing signs of greenness early on in the race, proved he was too good for the rest of the field crossing the line in front by almost 3 lengths! MAGNATURA had only made his racecourse debut on 3rd June, finishing 4th. He learnt plenty on his first time out and showcased his talent on his second start with a win.
MAGNATURA is by Magna Grecia, out of the Anabaa mare, Morning Line and he is owned by the Whitehouse Stable Syndicate. MAGNATURA was hand picked at the Tattersalls foal sale by Tom and Alex in November 2023 for just 10,000gns and his talent has been nurtured at Whitehouse Stables.
There are shares available in this talented two year old gelding, so please get in contact on [email protected] if you would like some more information.
LITTLE JAYBEE (below right) finished June off on a high winning on the last day of the month at Wolverhampton.
LITTLE JAYBEE crossed the winning post in front on 30th June at Wolverhampton on her second time of asking over course & distance. The two year old daughter of Due Diligence was given a fantastic ride by Alec Voikhansky over the five furlong distance.
The pair jumped from stall 5 and setttled in mid-division around the bend, before gaining the lead in the home straight to win by 2 1/4 lengths. The race was also a GBB bonus race, so the winning connections also picked up an extra £20,000.
LITTLE JAYBEE is owned by Mrs A L Lofts & Mrs Nicky Scott Knight and she was bred by Mrs A L Lofts. The two year old filly is by Due Diligence, out of the Bungle Inthejungle mare, Jungle Boogaloo.
Ones To Watch
KINGDOM OF STARS was unlucky once again on 5th June at Chelmsford. He was dropping down in trip this time, finishing second, and beaten by a nose on the line. He will have his day and be in the winners enclosure in no time this summer.
Another horse in the placings is READ ALL ABOUT IT (above left) who ran well at Goodwood on 6th June to finish second when stepping up in trip to 1m. She headed back to the racecourse on 23rd June at Windsor and ran respectably into 3rd place. She now has her handicap mark and looks to be competitive this season.

Racing Secretary

Just over a year
Favourite Horse:
Diamond Bay - he’s very playful & pretty cool, and at the ripe old age of 8, despite his previous injuries, he still loves his racing! A true character and a definite favourite
Favourite Racing Moment:
Watching the Grand National every year with my family & friends at Aintree - it was always a bit messy and one year we got to go into the ITV area and see how it is all produced, that was very cool!
If you had a fully paid trip to anywhere in the world, where would you go?
The Maldives - so beautiful and relaxing, the fish and coral make the diving amazing and it’s easy to switch off from the world when you’re in paradise!
If you had one superpower, what would it be?
Teleport - so I can travel quickly! It would be so nice to avoid the M6 when I go home to visit my parents in Cheshire.
