CAPOTE’S TALE OF VICTORY

CAPOTE’S DREAM landed the yards biggest victory on Monday 2 August, winning the Fitzdares Sprint Series Final Handicap worth £70k at Royal Windsor Racecourse. Given a superb ride by Tom Marquand, who’d also agreed to lighten off more than his usual limits, only doing enough to see off TREACHEROUS on the line.

CAPOTE’S DREAM was purchased for what now looks a very humble price of 16,000gns from the Tattersalls HIT sale last October, sourced and secured by Matt Coleman and Marcus Collie. Since, the gelding has won five races and has climbed the ratings from a mark of 72. The sky’s the limit for this 4-year-old who improves for each run.

'He seems to really enjoy his sprinting and I think there are plenty more fun days to come. He only just does what is asked and should continue to improve.'

Many congratulations to partners Charlie Rosier and Bart Beswick who were both present at Windsor, roaring the winner to the finish line!
