ASGOODASSOBERGETS shines at Royal Ascot

The French bred colt purchased by trainer Annabel Neasham as an Australian prospect, places 2nd in the Golden Gate Stakes at Royal Ascot, Saturday 18th June.

ASGOODASSOBERGETS arrived in the yard at Whitehouse Stables a winner in France, but continued the upward curve winning again, first time out here in the UK, which allowed his connections to target the Royal meeting.

‘He’s always been a nice horse and he is still lightly raced. Still learning his trade, there are lots of upsides to him.’

Drawn the widest barrier, jockey Jim Crowley rode him for a late run, where he showed a lovely turn of foot hitting the line strongly.

‘I was delighted with his run. He had to make up a lot of ground, and the winner got the first run on him, so he ran a solid race.’
